U.S. Army veteran Steve Woodcock will ride in support of the 7Days7K fundraiser, a solo cross-country journey benefiting Warrior Foundation Freedom Station. Woodcock will travel America’s highways for seven days on his Harley, departing Conway, New Hampshire on June 19 and arriving in San Diego, California around June 25. His goal is to raise $7,000 for Warrior Foundation Freedom Station and present checks upon arrival at Freedom Station III, the latest Freedom Station to open in 2024.
“We live in the greatest country in the world, but that freedom comes at a cost,” said Stephen Woodcock. “It’s easy to take it for granted. I’m riding for the Warriors who stepped forward and made sacrifices that have changed their lives forever. Warrior Foundation Freedom Station is doing incredible work helping these men and women recover and rebuild their lives. Now it’s our turn to give back. I encourage everyone to support 7Days7K. If just 70 people donate $100, we can reach our goal.”
Woodcock, 76, served in the U.S. Army from 1970 to 1973 and went on to a career as a teacher and high school principal. 7Days7K is one of several charitable rides he has undertaken. In 2010, he completed a 43-day, 14,000-mile motorcycle journey around the perimeter of the United States, raising funds for the USO of San Diego. He credits his daughter, Sara, a longtime San Diego resident, for inspiring his commitment to charitable work and for first introducing him to Warrior Foundation Freedom Station.
