Welcome to "Miles for Melanoma - Dan's Run to Support Cancer Patients," a heartfelt fundraiser dedicated to supporting the Little Red Door Cancer Agency as they tirelessly work to support cancer patients throughout Central Indiana. Join us on this inspiring journey as Dan confronts his personal battle with melanoma and endeavors to make a meaningful impact for others facing similar challenges.

In the fall of 2024, just a few months after the birth of his first son, Dan was diagnosed with stage 3 melanoma. Since then, he has demonstrated incredible strength and resilience, undergoing surgeries to remove the cancer and participating in a clinical trial for immunotherapy treatment. Now, Dan is channeling his determination into a backyard ultra marathon, setting his sights on raising funds and awareness for this vital cause.

This unique "last man standing" style event allows participants to run until only one remains, this event is known as a "Backyard Ultra" and these events regularly last over 24-48 hours of continuous running with some lasting as long as 4 days . Dan is ready to give it his all and push his limits, one mile at a time, to ensure no shade is left behind in the fight against cancer. At the time of this race Dan will have completed 8 months of his treatment, with just 4 months remaining.
