A year ago, I found myself in a deep depression as I was slowly losing my ability to walk and move after a neck injury that has perplexed 20+ doctors over the last 3 years.
One year ago TODAY, On Sept 20, 2022, I spent $20,000 out of pocket to have a rare spinal surgery in Spain that has since given me so much of the fullness of life back.
To honor those suffering with rare spine injuries and the journey I’ve been on, I’ve decided I want to walk a marathon! Running is quite difficult for me still but I figured I’d always wanted to do a marathon, and I’ve literally walked over 750 miles this summer, so why not do it right now? Today?
I decided I’m going to personally donate $10/mile I walk.
If you know me well, you know this has been the most challenging journey I’ve ever been on, and it’s truly been my greatest teacher. Thank you for showing up for and contributing to this campaign - my heart is full with gratitude.
I couldn’t have imagined doing this a year ago, but here we are! LFG
With all my love and joy,
