Since 1956, monthly newspaper Northern Cross has served the people of the North East, in particular those living in the Catholic diocese of Hexham and Newcastle. It publishes news and features that connect the community and aims to give a voice to those living on society's margins.
Highland Cross is a 50 mile duathlon (walking or running 20 miles and cycling 30 miles) across Scotland from Kintail to Beauly. The event is organised by volunteers to raise funds for charities across the Highlands. Since 1983, over £6.3m has been raised and distributed in full to deserving causes.
