The Mission Forward Pledge: Help Turn $50,000 Into $100,000

Help finish a renewed home for veterans at VFW Post 5431 in Solana Beach, California.

More than a building—a place to belong

For someone who has served, belonging can mean walking through a door and finding people who understand. A place to share stories, build friendships, reconnect with purpose, and find support.

That is the spirit behind Mission Forward.

We are renovating VFW Post in Solana Beach to preserve its role as a home for veterans while preparing it for its next chapter. Working with Project Restore Hope, we are creating a welcoming space for veteran-support programming through its Warrior House program.

This campaign is about more than walls, floors, and finishes. It is about what becomes possible inside them: connection, camaraderie, mentorship, and access to partner resources. It is about honoring service with a space that reflects the respect our veterans have earned.

We also want first responders, families, and neighbors to feel connected to this mission—because a strong veteran community is strengthened by the people who stand beside it.

One veteran has stepped forward. Now we can stand with him.

A fellow veteran has pledged $50,000 in matching funds to help finish the project.

Now we are asking our members, community, businesses, and supporters nationwide to raise the other $50,000—unlocking the full matching pledge and providing $100,000 to complete the renovation.

Mission Forward launched on 10/08 Our goal is to reach that total by Pearl Harbor Day, (Dec 7th)

As we remember those who served and sacrificed, we invite you to help build something meaningful for those who need connection and community today.

Make your gift go twice as far

• VFW members: Donations of $50 or more qualify for matching. Your $50 becomes $100 toward the project.
• Community members, businesses, and all other supporters: Donations of $100 or more qualify. Your $100 becomes $200.

Qualifying donations are matched dollar for dollar, up to the donor’s total commitment of $50,000.

A local home. A mission you can support from anywhere.

You do not have to live in Solana Beach to be part of this next chapter.
