The West End Donner Lake Firewise Community (WEDL) is a homeowner‑run Firewise community that works to reduce wildfire risk around the west end and south shore of Donner Lake through outreach, education, fuel‑reduction and home‑hardening efforts. It coordinates with Truckee Fire District and local HOAs/POAs to implement defensible‑space work, evacuation planning, and community wildfire resilience projects.
