The National Immigrant Justice Center (NIJC) ensures human rights protections for low-income immigrants, refugees, and asylum seekers, promoting access to justice, family integrity, and community safety. A nationally recognized leader in immigrant rights, NIJC uniquely blends individual client advocacy with broad-based systemic change. NIJC provides direct legal services and advocates for immigrant populations through impact litigation, public education, and policy reform. NIJC provides legal services to 11,000 people annually: children, detained immigrants, LGBTQ, and survivors of domestic violence and human trafficking. With a staff of over 100, and a network of 2,000 pro bono attorneys, NIJC leverages local and national partners to protect immigrant rights and maximize impact.
