Our Mission and Vision is to promote compassion, wellness and partnership between people and animals while providing a safe, healthy and enriching environment for both the people and animals of our community. HSofHC is an independent, non-profit, limited admission animal rescue with a No-Kill policy.We advocate the humane treatment of animals by working in partnership with Harris County Animal Control and other regional shelters toward achieving a No-Kill community. We do not receive any city, state, or federal funding. The HSofHC exists because of the donations and support of our community and the steadfast dedication of our hardworking staff and volunteers.
