Happy Trails for Kids is a non-profit organization that was founded in 1993 to provide energizing outdoor experiences for children with a variety of challenges, including physical or mental disabilities, serious illness and/or being a part of the foster care system. By participating in specific programs targeted toward each population we serve, our kids share camping, ranching and farming adventures with others who face similar obstacles - together building self-confidence and social skills. Most of the Happy Trails' boys and girls come from urban settings, where exposure to the natural world is rare, if not nonexistent. All of our programs begin with the inherent calmness, freedom and healing qualities of the great outdoors.
