Welcome to the Gente Buena Foundation fundraiser, a dedicated initiative supporting the transformative work of the Gente Buena Foundation in partnership with Pronatura. Our shared mission is to address the critical issue of water scarcity in the agave-producing regions of Jalisco, Mexico, specifically San Pedro de los Landeros.

The Gente Buena Foundation is committed to ensuring that both the land and the people of Jalisco benefit from the prosperity brought by the tequila industry. We achieve this by fostering partnerships and making community-informed investments that promote sustainable growth and shared wealth.

This fundraiser aims to transform water access for 51 families in San Pedro de los Landeros, encompassing a total of 176 residents. The current water access in this region is unpredictable, posing a significant challenge to health and well-being. Therefore, we have initiated a comprehensive, two-year program to provide clean and reliable water to every household.

Our solutions include installing 5,000-liter water cisterns for each household, constructing a new water pipeline, and implementing nature-based solutions such as watershed restoration and green water retention systems. These measures not only improve health and reduce water scarcity but also create a replicable model that can benefit other regions facing similar challenges.
