Welcome to the 2026 Short Avenue Annual Giving Campaign—Monthly School-Year Edition!

Friends of Short Avenue (FoSA), our school’s 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, is proud to launch the 2026 Annual Giving Campaign in support of Short Avenue Elementary.

This year, FoSA is more than a traditional school booster club. We are a critical funding partner to our school, helping provide essential staff, programs, supplies, and resources that are not fully funded through the school’s public budget.

Annual Giving donations help fund:

• Teaching aides in every classroom
• A dedicated reading interventionist
• Spanish and music instruction
• Teacher training and professional development
• Classroom and teacher supplies
• School equipment and campus improvements
• Our school library
• The edible garden and campus beautification
• Community-building events for Short Avenue families

These investments directly support our students’ academic growth, creativity, confidence, and overall school experience. They also provide our teachers and staff with the additional support and resources they need to help every child thrive.

Our suggested contribution is $1,500 per child. Every family’s circumstances are different, and donations of all amounts are meaningful and deeply appreciated.

By participating in Annual Giving, you are investing directly in your child’s classroom and helping ensure that all Short Avenue students have access to the staff, programs, and opportunities that make our neighborhood public school so special.
