Larimer County Search and Rescue (LCSAR)

Larimer County Search and Rescue (LCSAR) services are provided free of charge by highly trained unpaid personnel.  We rely heavily on your generous tax-deductible donations.  Our mission is to find the lost, rescue the stranded and injured, recover the deceased, and educate the public about wilderness and mountain safety. We operate as a 501(c)3 under the authority of the LC Sheriff's Office. We also provide SAR resources out of county and state when requested. In a typical year, LCSAR touches over 4,000 people with its quick response to searches and rescues and its wilderness education programs. Members donate their time, money, energy, and personal equipment in order to train, search, rescue, and provide public education.
