About This Fundraiser
WeTheFuture (WTF) and the Clubhouse community have organized a Global Speaker and Live Music Fundraising Event to be hosted on the ClubhouseApp to raise awareness for India’s devastating milestone of more than 345,000 new COVID-19 cases in a single day, the biggest total recorded globally since the pandemic began.
The event will include a series of daily events beginning on Tuesday, April 27th, with the first Saturday concert on May 1st. #United4India events will continue all month leading up to the #CHUnited4India Benefit Concert on Saturday, May 29th. The innovative audio-only fundraiser is committed to #United4India to unite people on the ground, journalists, medical experts, artists, musicians, DJs, poets, entrepreneurs, mothers, humanitarians, filmmakers, and more to drive awareness, mobilize resources, and fundraise for the cause.
On May 7th, Health Equity club on Clubhouse is hosting GLOBAL JAM SESSION in support of #CHUnited4India. Musicians from India, USA, Canada, UK, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Japan, Nigeria, Ethiopia, Brazil, and more, will all unite in a truly global musical celebration to raise funds for COVID Relief in India.
Nonprofit Selection: The plan is to carefully select local, dependable organizations that are caring for the most vulnerable during this crisis and to select new nonprofits on a weekly basis.
Week 1 (ending 5/1) - The organizers carefully vetted the following organizations to be recipients of the over $25,000 raised during the first week: GiveIndia, Oxygen for India, Chopra Foundation, Desai Foundation, UNICEF, and SeeSchool. Funds will be disbursed in May ensuring that your donations have an immediate impact.
Week 2: We’ve selected Save the Children. Funds raised starting on 5/3 will be designated to these organizations.
Week 3: We've selected Sadanah Foundation & the U.N. Foundation: COVID 19 Solidarity Response Fund for WHO.
Week 4: We've selected The Hope Foundation.
