At Square One Startup School, our mission is crystal clear: to build a more equitable innovation economy by dismantling systemic barriers that have long kept out overlooked innovators. We strive to connect these visionaries with the capital, education, and networks they desperately need to launch high-growth ventures, ultimately driving local economic growth and prosperity.

The emergence of Artificial Intelligence (AI) is reshaping every sector of society, but its rapid rise is widening long-standing equity gaps. Diverse innovators remain excluded from building AI solutions due to limited access to capital, while underserved communities face a growing digital divide that accelerates job loss and economic marginalization. Without intentional intervention, millions risk being left out of the AI revolution—unable to shape, participate in, or benefit from the technologies defining our future.

Square One is launching Project SEEN—a pledge to advance AI equity, education, and adoption by empowering historically excluded innovators with the knowledge, tools, and capital needed to thrive in emerging technology sectors. Our remote-first, 10-week pre-accelerator blends AI literacy with investment-readiness training and leverages government partnerships to deploy AI solutions that address local civic challenges. This model enables underrepresented entrepreneurs to launch AI-driven ventures while creating pathways for wealth generation, job creation, and public-sector innovation—ensuring underserved communities benefit directly from technological progress.

We’ve already built a global membership community of 200 early-stage founders, the majority from underrepresented backgrounds.
