Asheville Charity Raffle

The Weirdo Swarm is coming together to support Asheville at this difficult time as the community rebuilds following the devastating impacts of hurricane Helene. Currently Asheville and surrounding areas are difficult to reach and experiencing major road closures due to damage making reaching people ineffective and in some cases, not possible. Cell service has been disrupted. Fresh water, electricity, and other basic necessities remain scarce still at this time with no clarity on when that will change.

KING GIZZARD SUPPORTS THIS CHARITY EVENT and merch management is sending specific items from P(Doom) USA that they want to donate for this raffle to support this cause and their donation will be alongside items donated by OVER 65 talented fan artists and creators, and also amazing generous fans that have special items they've collected over YEARS that they're adding to the raffle. SO MANY friends have stepped up to support by donating! There will be AT LEAST FOUR WINNERS due to overwhelming support in our community.

Attached are pictures of the list of items committed to the raffle so far - will update this list as we can but at the time of posting probably at least 15 or more donations are missing. :)

Share with your friends and let's get the word out on this so we can get as many entries as possible to help this community that needs us! Asheville is a beautiful and special place and honestly it is important to Gizz fans in that many amazing shows have been played there. We know the band cares about this city, and this is our way of coming together to do something to support Asheville in the aftermath of this terrible storm. 

We have chosen the 501c3 non-profit BeLoved Asheville because they are an amazing local charity that has been building affordable housing, providing food to those in need, and servicing the Asheville and surrounding areas in many ways for years - they are already responding to this crisis on the ground in Asheville providing homemade food and water to those in need. BeLoved Asheville released a statement late 29 September 2024 regarding the current state of their efforts:

"Yesterday, we drove straight to where help was needed most. We had our Last delivery By 11 pm., we had finished another long night of distributing vital resources. The need in our community is overwhelming—children and families thirsty and hungry, with stores closed, no gas, no water, and no electricity. But thanks to your support, there is still hope.

In a caravan of cars, we made it to Greenville, SC, where we filled our truck and two more vehicles with food and water. Now that we can reach the outside, the most pressing need is funds to buy more supplies. We are working day and night to do everything we can for our community.

Thank you to everyone who has sent us addresses of their loved ones with whom they've lost contact. We’ve been able to visit their homes and offer our phones to reconnect them. For those we haven’t found yet, don’t lose hope—we are still searching. Our love for this community drives us, and together, we know we will overcome this.

We stand with you, and together, we rise."

INFO FOR ENTRY - ENTRIES WILL BE OPEN UNTIL 11:59PM EST 10 OCTOBER, WITH WINNERS BEING ANNOUNCED 11 OCTOBER 

EVERY $5 DONATED VIA THIS CAMPAIGN = 1 RAFFLE ENTRY

RAFFLE WINNERS MUST BE DOMESTIC IN THE USA DUE TO SHIPMENTS BEING ARRANGED INDEPENDENTLY BY BOOTLEG CREATORS/ARTISTS. RAFFLE WINNERS MUST HAVE A VALID ADDRESS THEY CAN ACCEPT MULTIPLE SHIPMENTS/PACKAGES, ETC TO IN THE EVENT THAT THEY ARE SELECTED AS A WINNER. WINNERS WILL BE CONTACTED VIA EMAIL TO ARRANGE NEXT STEPS AND CLAIM THEIR PRIZE.
