We are thrilled to invite you to join a bold, beautiful movement: CoKiyovu, a transformative leadership, cultural, and sustainability hub for women in the heart of Kigali, Rwanda.

This project is led by Global GAIN, a U.S.-based nonprofit building global networks of women leaders and democracy champions, in partnership with Women GAIN Rwanda, a local NGO launched by Rwandan women leaders trained through our programs.

Together, we are building more than just a place. We’re creating a living, breathing center of possibility—a space where women lead, stories inspire, and dreams take root.

CoKiyovu will be the world’s first immersive destination for women’s leadership, rooted in Rwanda’s extraordinary story of recovery and transformation. Set on a lush compound in Kigali’s historic Kiyovu neighborhood, it will include:

• The Women’s Leadership Institute – Training young women in digital skills, public service, and entrepreneurship.

• Co-Working & Innovation Studio – A launchpad for women-led ventures and social enterprises.

• Eco-Retreat Guesthouses – Beautiful, sustainable short-term accommodations welcoming global changemakers.

• A Wellness & Movement Space – Supporting healing, community, and mental well-being.

• Farm-to-Table Café & Culinary Training – Nourishing bodies and careers with locally-sourced food.

• Gallery and Event Space Showcasing Rwandan Women’s Stories – Uplifting the voices of trailblazers who rebuilt a nation.

• Green Building Design & Urban Gardens – A model for sustainable tourism and climate-forward living.

After 10 years of renting and nurturing this space, we now have the rare opportunity to purchase the property and preserve it as a permanent home for CoKiyovu. But the clock is ticking.

We must raise $650,000 by July 6th, 2025, to secure the land and begin this transformation.

Rwanda is a beacon of women's leadership. It leads the world with 64% of its parliament held by women, has reimagined post-conflict recovery through a gender equity lens, and continues to inspire global leaders with its model of inclusion and strength.

CoKiyovu honors this leadership while creating a new model: a globally connected, locally rooted space where leadership development, cultural preservation, and community care intersect.
