Pledge To Diversify the Outdoors

Nature can be a source of healing, connection, exploration, and joy. But not everyone has equal access and opportunity to enjoy these wonders. That's why we're making the #PledgeTo uplift and support organizations working to create a more inclusive outdoor space for BIPOC, LGBTQ+ and other marginalized communities. 

Through educational experiences, mentorship programs, and camps this unique fund seeks to increase diverse representation and develop future leaders for a healthy planet. Donations will be shared evenly among the 501(c)(3) nonprofits below. Thank you for your support! 

• Black Outside is on a mission to reconnect Black & African-American youth to the outdoors, focused on providing culturally relevant programming, inspired volunteers, and connect youth to the powerful history of Black people in the outdoors. 

• Brave Trails is a nonprofit with a mission of connecting LGBTQ+ youth to their people, place and passion. They offer leadership summer camps in both California and Maryland, family camps, backpacking, mental health services, and year-round leadership programming. 

• HBCUs Outside focuses on providing greater representation in the greater outdoors alongside Historically Black Colleges and Universities, working to offer resources on how to get outside and get access to equipment, building communities, and involving outdoor brands & partners to develop a sustainable and meaningful change.
