I do this work because I believe every young adult deserves a fair chance to succeed after high school, no matter their background or the barriers in front of them. Every day, I meet students with incredible potential who are stopped by challenges as small as a missing textbook or as big as the cost of tuition.
But when we remove even one barrier, everything changes. A student stays enrolled. A dream becomes possible. A future opens up.
My “why” is simple: access shouldn’t determine opportunity. Your support helps our students stay on track, graduate, and build the futures they’ve worked so hard for.

Our 2025 End-of-Year Campaign celebrates the power of education to open doors, build confidence, and ignite leadership. At SJLI, we remain rooted in our mission to empower students through academic and career access, youth development, socio-emotional support, and social justice leadership.
