About This Fundraiser

Help Mālama Maunalua Restore the Reefs of Maunalua Bay!

We are calling on you to be a part of a momentous effort to protect the coral reefs of Maunalua Bay. Mālama Maunalua is a dedicated nonprofit organization with a mission to conserve and restore Maunalua Bay by informing, engaging, and empowering the community through habitat restoration, education and outreach, and science and planning.

Coral reefs are not just beautiful underwater landscapes, they are essential to our marine ecosystem and human well-being. Alarmingly, coral reefs across the globe are in jeopardy, and Maunalua Bay is no exception. As our reefs continue to degrade, Hawai‘i faces the loss of recreational and commercial industries, protection from natural hazards, and unique marine life, many of which are endemic to these islands.

This is where you come in. With your support, we can restore Maunalua Bay's coral reefs and help preserve these vital ecosystems for generations to come. For the next month, we are asking YOU to support Mālama Maunalua’s Restore with Resilience project. Your generous donation this month will bolster our efforts in protecting these vulnerable ecosystems from the adverse effects of climate change by enabling us to plant 4,000 thermally tolerant corals in Maunalua Bay.

Our target for this month is to raise $5,000. We cannot do this alone. We need your help for the next month to ensure the success of our coral restoration initiative in Maunalua Bay.

Help us create a brighter, more sustainable future for Maunalua Bay and all its inhabitants. Every donation counts and brings us one step closer to our goal. Thank you for your generosity and commitment to making a difference.
