This August, Indigenous Futures 4EVER and 4KINSHIP are bringing together 150 Indigenous youth and young creatives, ages 15–25, for the Indigenous Fashion 4EVER Career Summit during Santa Fe Indian Market.
For one extraordinary day, young people from across New Mexico and Tribal communities will come together to imagine what their futures in fashion and the creative economy could look like.
They’ll meet Indigenous designers, entrepreneurs, artists, filmmakers, costume professionals, educators, business leaders, mentors, and community organizations—all there for one reason:
To show the next generation what is possible.
INSPIRATION IS ONLY THE BEGINNING.THEY NEED THE TOOLS TO BEGIN.For many young people, the barrier isn’t talent, creativity, or ambition.
It’s access.
A sewing machine can turn an idea into something real.
It gives a young creative the ability to practice their craft, develop technical skills, experiment with design, make clothing for their community, build a portfolio, start a small business, carry cultural knowledge forward, and begin building a future in the creative economy.
That’s why our goal extends beyond one extraordinary day:
PUT 150 SEWING MACHINES INTO THE HANDS OF 150 INDIGENOUS FUTURES.We don’t want young people to leave the Summit simply inspired.
We want them to leave knowing there is a pathway forward—and then put a tool in their hands to begin.
SPONSOR A FUTUREA gift of $250 provides one brand-new, high-quality sewing machine for an Indigenous youth or young creative.
To make every dollar go further, we’re working directly with manufacturers and distributors to secure nonprofit, educational, and bulk pricing. Machines will be placed directly with selected youth, schools, and community programs following the Summit.
$250 = One Young Creative. One Sewing Machine. One Future.
$500 = Two Futures Equipped.
$1,250 = Five Indigenous Youth Ready to Create.
$2,500 = Ten Young Creatives Given the Tools to Begin.
Every contribution—at any amount—moves us closer to 150.
MORE THAN A SEWING MACHINEAt Indigenous Futures 4EVER, we believe:
TALENT IS EVERYWHERE. OPPORTUNITY IS NOT.A sewing machine is more than a piece of equipment.
It can be a first studio.
A first collection.
A first sale.
A portfolio for college.
A way to learn from an Auntie or grandmother.
A way to carry cultural knowledge forward.
A first step toward a career.
Your gift puts a real tool into the hands of a young person and says:
WE BELIEVE IN WHAT YOU CAN CREATE.EVERY STITCH. EVERY DREAM. EVERY FUTURE.Help us equip 150 Indigenous futures.
