We — and the kittens! — at Sound Home Sanctuary are beyond thankful for the support we've received over the past three years. In that time, we have rescued more than 50 animals (mostly cats but also a few guinea pigs and birds!), fostered stray pets for a local animal hospital, provided bottle feeding and medical care for dozens of neonatal kittens, and found loving homes for cats and kittens of all stripes.
We also recently joined forces with Chappy and Friends, our fiscal sponsor, so all of your monetary donations are now tax-deductible.
Thanks to generous contributions, we have purchased a large incubator and a travel incubator. A wonderful donor also provided a pop-up incubator. Incubators are imperative to saving newborn kittens who can’t regulate their body temperature. We have also been able to provide kitten milk replacement, parasite treatment and prevention, and TLC for our many fosters.
Our goals for 2025 include providing care and finding adopters for even more kittens who need us, building a medical care fund so we can work with our veterinary partners to obtain lifesaving treatments for sick cats, as well as routine but vital care such as vaccines and spay/neuter services for healthy kitties. We also have plans to develop educational content to help anyone learn how to care for kittens, including bottle-feeding tutorials.
A longer-term objective is to find a local space to house our rescues, host events, and do meet-and-greets with potential adopters. We also look forward to building a robust network of supporters, volunteers, and fosters.
We can’t do this without your help, so please consider donating to Sound Home this Giving Tuesday… it’s the purrfect way to show your love for animals. Our home nursery already has infrastructure for transport, nursing, heat support, cleaning, and enrichment. We are seeking $6,000 in donations to cover milk, spay/neuter, and medical care for 20 or more kittens in 2025. Again, your donations are tax-deductible.
Whether you have adopted with us, provided much-needed financial support or supplies, or simply offered moral support, we appreciate you so very much!
Sincerely,
Jacquelyn and Ed
