Welcome to the fundraiser page for "Lucy" (Quarter Horse Mare)," a dedicated initiative aimed at supporting this beautiful mare in continuing to lead a supportive and healthy life. We invite you to join us in this heartfelt mission to ensure that "Lucy" receives the care and love she deserves, all while benefiting the incredible nonprofit organization, Melody's Haven of Hope at Oregon Horsemanship.  

What is one more? "Lucy" was a little different and came to us through a Cowboy Dressage friend. For unknown reasons we felt she needed to be with us and, even though we really didn't have the space, we managed to make enough room. She is quite a talker and nickers to welcome everyone. Finding out she has severe arthritis in pasterns, knees, and hocks she had to retire from riding.  Most of the “damage” was done before she was 8 years old from what we found, She misses having a job to do but thank goodness through those who love her she knows she is cared about. She is a heart-stealer and we will give her the best rest of her life possible. She requires several supplements and medications to help keep her comfortable in her retirement, as well as special shoes every 8 weeks.
