In 2015, MABA launched its High
School Scholarship Program thanks to the financial support of MABA
Past-President Erick Solares. In 2025, the scholarship was renamed the Michael
Felix High School Scholarship Program in honor of Michael Felix’s leadership’s
long lasting impact on this program. The Program seeks to assist Los
Angeles-area college-bound students with college-related expenses. Each spring,
MABA awards at least three $2,500 scholarships to talented college-bound
students. Additional scholarships may be awarded, subject to the availability
of contributions to the Program.
The scholarship is made available to high school seniors enrolled in the
schools and programs that participate in MABA’s Student Outreach Program in the
prior year. In awarding the scholarship, MABA considers each applicant’s
financial need, community service, leadership experience, and any hardship
experienced in pursuit of his/her/their education. Because MABA is firmly
committed to the empowerment of the Latino community, all students, regardless
of immigration status are eligible to apply.
MABA's High School Scholarship Program is completely funded by the generous
financial donations of MABA members. If you are interested in supporting the
High School Scholarship Program, please contact Michael Felix at michaelfelix@enterntainmentvisa.com
