Hi,
In 2023, my 14-year-old son was diagnosed with a rare blood cancer. In an instant, our family's world changed, but so did something else: we witnessed firsthand the extraordinary care he received at the Montreal Children's Hospital. The medical staff who stood by him through it all, through treatments, hard nights, and small victories.
He's doing fairly well now. This project stems from that experience: my way of paying back the hospital that took care of him, and of helping kids like him everywhere.
Because that's what donations really do. Most of the time, they're what allow kids to be cared for at the hospital, but also games, activities, hours of fun, and comfort from dedicated staff who make the hospital feel a little less like a hospital. Behind every treatment there are people working tirelessly to keep these kids smiling.
To make this happen, I've been building a small online fundraising project (still a work in progress) where anyone can take part and direct their donation straight to the pediatric cancer foundation of their choice in the US. I take nothing; every dollar flows directly to the foundation. More on it coming soon.
And now, I'd love to extend this to Canadian foundations, starting naturally with the one closest to our hearts.
We'd be grateful to explore partnering with your foundation and supporting the kids and families you serve.
Thank you for everything you do for these kids and their families.
Best,
Sébastien
