Mayor Tim Sandoval and the City Council are proud to announce the Pomona Compassion Fund: a fundraiser providing critical support for vulnerable residents and businesses during a period of heightened uncertainty and financial distress. Convened by Mayor Sandoval and hosted in partnership with the California Community Foundation (CCF), this effort will provide financial assistance to Pomona's immigrant community, which may include food, essential supplies, health and mental health services, and legal resources. Additionally, it will support the business community by providing microgrants as they navigate these challenging times. Thank you to everyone who has contributed — every bit makes a difference.
Immigration raids across Los Angeles County impact more than the lives of those detained – they create crises in families and communities as well. Family members are afraid to leave their homes to go to work, shop for essentials, take children to school and many other activities that support normal lives. Businesses lose both employees and customers in this environment.
The Los Angeles Neighbors Support Fund provides assistance to community non-profits directly serving those in need by delivering groceries, providing support in many ways needed by households in distress and assisting small businesses to help them remain open.
This fund provides basic humanitarian assistance for essential survival resources.
