A legacy that has been inspiring children to be children, to jump in mud puddles, to name their dolls anything they want, even Chevrolet. And, above all, to learn how to unwrap the ultimate gift in life, to sit eagerly, awaiting for the "present" to arrive, only to discover, that the type of "present" for which they were waiting did not come with a bow or wrapping, in fact, it had been with them the whole time. A legacy that continues to impact adults throughout the world.

Beginning at Midnight (Pacific Standard Time) every 12th of the month. There will be a fundraiser every month until April 2022 to support LITERACY and INSPIRING CHILDREN TO LEARN TO READ, TO INSPIRE THEIR IMAGINATIONS and to allow children to feel CONNECTED through her characters on KLICKITAT STREET.
Your contribution will help support as many children as we can possibly reach, with the GOAL to provide as many school districts, and public schools with the supplies they need for their students to learn.
- Please join us in honouring the memory of Beverly Cleary and by highlighting emerging @md diverse children’s book Authors.
- On CLUBHOUSE, live Storytellers, from many areas in life, will read aloud and speak about the impact literacy has had on their lives and careers as adults.
- The proceeds will go directly to the FIRSTBOOK Foundation and the schools that they serve.
- Since 1992, First Book has distributed more than 200 million books and educational resources to programs and schools serving children from low-income communities in more than 30 states.
- First Book currently reaches an average of 5 million children every year and supports more a third of the estimated 1.3 million classrooms and programs serving children in need.
