We have no time to waste. This white Shiba Inu has been stuck at Riverside Shelter since March 24th with a fractured pelvis and multiple puncture wounds. The shelter has done NOTHING to help her. She has been sitting there in excruciating pain with no medical care.
‼️ Today, she was approved for euthanasia. If we don’t act NOW, she won’t make it out.
We’re working with Saving Shibas, who has secured a foster, but we NEED funds immediately to cover her surgery and vet care. Saving Shibas estimated her medical costs to be around $8,000. We cannot do this alone.

Akira is her name and she is rescued from the Riverside Shelter today! Thank you too everyone who has donated towards her care and also for being patient with the update from us. Both Saving Shibas and Good Tails Rescue were diligent in first informing the shelter that she was going to get rescued and picked up. Then it was the amazing work of calling so many Vets to ensure Akira would be seen immediately and any procedures that need to be done taken care of.
