SJLI Urban Scholars Scholarship Campaign

We invite you, our community, to celebrate and support the extraordinary students of the Social Justice Learning Institute (SJLI)! Since 2008, SJLI has been helping young people and communities of color thrive through education, mentorship, and programs that build leaders. SJLI has impacted thousands of  students across California and Texas benefit from our Urban Scholars programs, and together, we rise each year.

From April 1 – June 30, 2026, our Urban Scholars Scholarship Campaign gives you the chance to make a real impact, providing scholarships, books, exam fees, mentorship, and the tools students need to succeed in college, enter the workforce, and reach their fullest potential.

This year, we celebrate over 150 graduating seniors, alumni who have completed college, and our TFI students powered by JPMorgan Chase. Students like Justin Martinez, a first-generation student headed to Princeton University, show what’s possible when our community rises together.

No donation is too small. Every gift—$5, $25, $50, $100, or more—helps students achieve their dreams and reach new milestones. By participating, you become part of their journey as we rise together.
