About This Fundraiser

Ninety-one summers ago, Camp Chippewa for Boys welcomed four campers from Tulsa to the shores of Cass Lake. Since then, thousands of boys have paddled its waters, slept under its pines, and discovered something about themselves they couldn't have found anywhere else.

That work does not stop when the summer does.

Scholarships are funded in the offseason. Staff are trained before the first canoe hits the water. Programs are built, maintained, and grown by people who love this place year-round.

The Portage Society is our community of sustaining donors—camp families, alumni, and friends who make a monthly gift to keep Camp Chippewa's mission alive and growing. Like the portage itself, it is a shared effort. Many hands make light work, carrying forward a mission of leadership, wilderness, and character.

Whether you start with $19 a month or $250, your recurring gift becomes part of the foundation that the next generation of Chippewa boys will stand on.

Join the Portage Society. Help us carry it forward.

  • $19/month: An annual gift totaling two and a half dollars for every year Camp Chippewa has served boys. Every fire starts a spark. Your gift helps keep that flame ablaze by funding the essential things that make camp feel like camp.

  • $38/month: An annual gift totaling five dollars for every year Camp Chippewa has served boys. Just like the boys who carry their canoes through a forested portage, Portage Society members help carry camp's mission forward by funding scholarships, staff development, and the year-round work that makes each summer possible.

  • $91/month: A celebration of our 91st anniversary. You believe in the next 91 years as much as the last. Your gift at this level sustains scholarships and deepens our investment in the staff and programs that define the Chippewa experience.

  • $250/month: A transformational commitment that places you among camp's most dedicated supporters.  Gifts at this level make it possible to dream bigger by expanding access, strengthening our facilities, and ensuring that the Northwoods will welcome boys for generations to come.
