The Story

We were thinking of adding another horse and what pops up in my Facebook but a Palomino (remember I said no Palominos). When I saw the ad for "Tahlia" I couldn’t get her out of my mind. I hunted for her until I found her ad again. We were going to be within a few miles of where she was located. I rode her in an open field and after I got off I said “put her in the trailer we‘re taking her home." I knew I couldn’t leave her. Four homes in five months, underweight, beaten up, stoic and tense, "Tahlia" was so sad her eyes said she just wanted to die. She has been a challenge both physically, trying to get down to her pain, and emotionally with her issues. She needed and wanted to be loved and understood. She is so loved by her people and they have been willing to take the time to work through her issues. It has been a long haul, but it has been worth it to see her come alive again. "Tahlia" is worth the time and effort and we believe that love and understanding can heal wounds. With so many injuries we had to finally retire her from riding and vowed to let her live out the rest of her life giving her everything we could to make her comfortable and loved until she says she’s done. "Tahlia’s" monthly care is extensive but we do everything we can to make sure she is a happy horse.
