Welcome to our campaign in support of The Feral Farmhouse Project! Your generous contributions will enable us to continue providing a safe sanctuary for our beloved feral/abandoned community cats and eventually allow us the opportunity to expand while adding to the enrichment of our community.

When we moved into our 100-year-old farmhouse-in-the-city, we brought several cats of our own. It wasn't long before the neighborhood cats began taking up residence on our porch. We welcomed them, understanding that the shelters are already overcrowded and seeing the need for a safe place where they could find refuge, get food and veterinary care, and be kept out of harm's way. Over the past few years, we've created a wayward cat sanctuary, our own Feral Farmhouse, now home to a beautifully diverse plethora of amazing felines. Our main goal is to care for these wonderful, furry beings who continually bring an abundance of joy (and fur) to our lives. We could never imagine being here without them, but we also never anticipated the high cost of care that we'd face. Having lived outdoors, more than a handful of our "lovies" have had serious medical issues, including Feline Leukemia, FIV, FIP, and other strange and random afflictions that require ongoing veterinary visits and treatments. The food and veterinary costs keep adding up, and the more our population grows, the harder it gets to make ends meet. At the same time, in order to keep our cats at their healthiest and happiest, we need to expand. Our present goal is to create a system of catios around our property, fully enclosed and escape-proof, so the cats can get plenty of fresh air and sunshine without fear of predators. We'll never turn a cat away, so we'll continue fundraising as much as necessary to keep them all safe, well-fed, and living their best nine lives. Our even bigger dream-within-the-dream is to one day allow visitors to our property so they can enjoy the cats while relaxing in a peaceful garden setting. In this manner, we can be a refuge not only for the cats but for the people in our community as well. But it all starts with this first catio expansion, and it also starts with you!
