Welcome to the fundraiser page for "Val" (a handsome 14 year old Arabian gelding), a dedicated initiative aimed at supporting this beautiful gelding in continuing to lead a supportive and healthy life. We invite you to join us in this heartfelt mission to ensure that "Val" receives the care and love he deserves, all while benefiting the incredible nonprofit organization, Melody's Haven of Hope at Oregon Horsemanship.  

What a sweet, handsome boy! He is a barn favorite as he greets everyone that comes in the barn with his long neck and soft eyes. "Val" came to us through one of our vets. She knew we had retired a couple of our riding horses and felt "Val" would be a great addition to our program. His curiosity, playfulness, and personality keep us all smiling. Being a show hunter under saddle show horse, "Val" wore stacks (which are shoes with high heavy wedges that encouraged him to raise his legs up higher than normal). When he was hauled out of state, he would come off the trailer lame. Since we took off his “stacks” and give him outside time (he spent his life in a stall from the time he was 5 until we got him at 9) and consistent shoeing with normal shoes, he has not shown any issues. He spends his time with his best buddy Kenzo and loves his life.
