The Plaisance Community Foundation of Houston, Texas (PCFOHT) was formed in 2014 by former Plaisance residents and graduates of the former Plaisance High School. Our Foundation committee now reside in the Greater Houston, TX area. Our mission is to provide advocacy, mentorship, and educational opportunities, through scholarships, to eligible deserving students seeking college or trade school higher education.
Since 2014 the Foundation has awarded approximately 20 scholarships, totaling around $10,000. Over the past 4 years our fundraising efforts were ceased due to Covid 19 outbreak.
We are asking for supporters to please donate to our foundation in order that we can help support next year’s applicants. Your generous donations will assist eligible students accomplish their educational goals.
(PCFOHT would like to thank you all in advance for helping us to be a blessing to our very own Plaisance community future leaders. We are honored to partner with Launch Point CDC, Inc., a dedicated social service referral organization, to support aspiring students through this scholarship fund. Veronica passed away on August 8, 2024, but her legacy endures through this scholarship fund.
