Volviendo a Casa

Our work and programs stem from services of active love, hoping to reduce hate, harm, and ultimately death in our migrant communities. Unfortunately, throughout the years, we have seen the tragic loss of life at our southern border and the suffering of so many loved ones due to decades of unjust immigration policy. In the hopes of assisting these families, and offering a small bit of peace, we have created our “Volviendo a Casa” program.

Through this program, we hope to bring relief to low-income families lacking the monetary resources to pay funeral expenses or transportation of the migrant bodies for proper burials. Due to the sudden circumstances of these deaths families are not prepared to cover these expenses or afford the reunification of returning the deceased body to their home country. With coordination with the respective consulates, we help with the transfer and funeral services to those who have lost their lives in the migration jou
