Altadena Community Preservation Fund

đź’• A Message from Stacy:

Folks from this historially Black neighborhood lost everything in the Eaton Fire, and there is so much more work to be done. Imagine if you were sytemically disenfranchised from banks, mortgage companies, and lenders, beat the odds and owned your own house and small business, and then it was all gone in the blink of an eye. Nothing left to pass down to your children. Rebuilding efforts have focused on basic community infrastructure, but personal and community economic infrastructure is a much longer rebuild. In turbulent times like these, "bridge funding" has become a necessary form of philanthropy. If you're looking for a place to donate this year (aside from food assistance), please consider the Altadena Community Preservation Fund.

Safeguarding generational wealth in Altadena

Altadena Community Preservation Fund is a community-driven initiative created to help safeguard generational wealth for the multiethnic and socioeconomically diverse community that calls Altadena home, while also honoring Altadena’s legacy as a historically Black neighborhood. ACPF provides direct cash assistance in the form of bridge grants to Altadena homeowners, small business owners and local organizations displaced by the Eaton Fire. By providing bridge funding for Altadena residents’ mid-term needs —including temporary housing, hiring independent adjusters, legal fees, administrative costs —the fund helps to ensure that recipients can navigate recovery on their own terms.
