💕 A Message from Daniel and Jennifer:
We believe deeply in the Jewish value Kol Yisrael Arevim Zeh Bazeh - that all Jews are responsible for one another - no matter where in the world we live. As we travel to Kenya and Uganda, we are honored to connect with unique Jewish communities who are building vibrant Jewish life with faith, joy, and resilience. We are excited to have the opportunity to support them, and we invite our friends and family to join us in helping ensure that Jewish life flourishes everywhere, even in far-flung places.
About This Fundraiser
TBA’s annual travel adventure in 2026 will be to Africa. We will spend time in Kenya and Uganda, embedding within local/indigenous Jewish communities there for the two שבתות/shabbatot that we will experience on the trip. In between, we will do local touring/exploring, including an extended wildlife safari excursion.
We are going on this trip as a learning adventure. And to have a wonderful vacation. And…we are visiting some fascinating and exceedingly under-resourced Jewish communities. The Abayudaya community in Uganda, and their sibling community in Kenya, are barely at subsistence level. Both viz. individual families, and the community itself. Therefore, we are using this wonderful trip we will experience as an opportunity to raise funds for this community. We will ask every participant to agree to fundraise a minimum of $1800 towards our effort, every dollar of which will go to these communities to help them sustain themselves, and grow.
