Baltimore Blaugrana Venezuela Earthquake Relief Fundraiser

πŸ’• A Message from Baltimore:

At Baltimore Blaugrana, we believe in "MΓ©s que una Penya", more than a supporters club. Inspired by FC Barcelona's longstanding commitment to social responsibility, we strive to make a positive impact both in our local community and around the world. In response to the devastating earthquakes in Venezuela, we are launching a disaster relief fundraiser to support those in need. As part of this effort, we will host a special raffle featuring official FC Barcelona merchandise and other exciting prizes, with all proceeds benefiting earthquake relief. Together, through the power of football and community, we can make a meaningful difference.

CORE, Wayuu Taya & Acceso: Venezuela Earthquake Emergency

Two powerful earthquakes have devastated Venezuela. Donate now to fund emergency shelter, food, water, and medical aid for families in Caracas and the hardest-hit regions.

On Wednesday evening (June 24), back-to-back earthquakes struck near Caracas, the strongest to hit Venezuela in over a century. Countless buildings collapsed. Nearly a thousand people are confirmed dead with the number steadily climbing. Thousands are injured.

Families are searching for loved ones. Power, water, and cell service are down across parts of the capital. People are sleeping outside at night β€” too afraid to go home in case of aftershocks.

Your donation goes directly to emergency response on the ground right now.

WHO IS RESPONDING

Three trusted humanitarian organizations have joined forces for an immediate coordinated relief effort:

CORE (Community Organized Relief Effort), a global emergency response nonprofit founded by Sean Penn, has deployed its team and is actively coordinating on-the-ground needs assessments in the hardest-hit areas.

The Wayuu Taya Foundation has worked uninterrupted for 25 years in Venezuela supporting the most vulnerable communities. Their established community trust and local distribution networks mean aid reaches the people who need it most β€” fast.

Acceso is an international nonprofit with deep expertise in food systems and rural supply chains, ensuring food and essential resources reach families in the most remote and affected areas.

WHERE YOUR MONEY GOES

  • Delivering up to 100,000 meals monthly through trusted local partners
  • Distributing clean water, medical supplies, and emergency health support
  • Clearing debris and reopening critical roads and access routes
  • Distributing emergency shelter and essential household supplies
  • Employing displaced residents through cash-for-work programs to rebuild their communities
  • Providing direct cash assistance to the most vulnerable families
  • Conducting rapid needs assessments to identify and respond to critical gaps

WHY THIS IS AN ESPECIALLY URGENT CRISIS

This disaster has struck a country already in a humanitarian emergency. Before Wednesday's earthquakes:

  • 7.6 million Venezuelans were already in need of humanitarian assistance
  • 56% of the population lives in extreme poverty
  • 40%+ of households face moderate to severe food insecurity
  • 94% of families lack sufficient income for basic necessities
  • 7.6 million Venezuelans have already been forcibly displaced β€” the largest exodus in Latin American history
The families searching through rubble tonight had almost nothing before the ground shook. They have no safety net. Without outside support, millions will have nowhere to turn.

DONATE NOW β€” every dollar reaches people in crisis.

This is one of the most severe natural disasters to hit Latin America in decades, compounded by years of economic collapse and humanitarian need. Fast action saves lives.
