I am honored to serve as PERIOD.’s Board Chair and raise money as part of Period Action Day 2026! I deeply believe in the power of young people to effect change and advocate to end period poverty. My early years during college as a youth activist with PERIOD. sparked my interest in becoming a health policy attorney. PERIOD.’s work to establish and expand access to free menstrual products is critical to the everyday lives of people who menstruate. Access to products that let someone manage their period how they choose is critical to how they show up in school, work, interpersonal relationships, and so much more.

Period Action Day (PAD) is the moment when the menstrual movement comes together around a shared goal: donate 1 million period products and fund the work that keeps change moving all year long. Why is this important? Because in the United States alone:Â
- 24%Â of teens struggle to afford period products.
- 1 in 3Â miss class time because of it.
- 59%Â say period stigma affects them personally.
Cost and silence have turned something ordinary into a barrier to school, sports, confidence, and opportunity. No one should lose a seat in class, a spot on a team, or sense of self-worth because of their period.
