The museum interprets the broad and deep history of Chittenango Landing: the land, air, water and people by engaging the public through educational and recreational programming while preserving and interpreting the re-created 19th century dry dock complex.

Hanford Mills Museum operates an authentic water- and steam-powered historic site. We inspire audiences of all ages to explore connections betweeen energy, technology, natural resources, and entrepreneurship in rural communities, with a focus on sustainable choices.

The Coastal Discovery Museum inspires people to care for the Lowcountry.Together, CDM and its visitors:   • Discover connections between air, land, water, and living things for greater environmental awareness   • Explore history, culture, and art to understand ourselves and increase empathy toward others   • Take action to create a more sustainable and inclusive future

Our goal is to educate the public to the historical significance of the trails as they traversed through the Greater Kansas City area. The country was developed on this basic form of transportation. Each trail with its own importance; Santa Fe Trail was a trail of commerce. Oregon Trail was a route of emigrants to discover new territory. California Trail went west to find “gold”. Lewis and Clark to find a primary water route that would link the east to the west.

The Western Pennsylvania Conservancy protects and restores exceptional places to provide our region with clean waters and healthy forests, wildlife and natural areas for the benefit of present and future generations.
