Vision Du Monde - World Vision

Created in 2002, Vision du Monde is a French humanitarian organization, belonging to World Vision international partnership, which aims at helping the most vulnerable children. Thanks to its Christian DNA and driven by stewardship and human centred values, our NGO is dedicated to tackle the causes of poverty and injustice. We help the most vulnerable children to experience fullness of life, by growing, learning and achieving their dreams in a caring and secured environment. Vision du Monde works with the world's most vulnerable people in the most remote or unstable areas of the world. It serves all people, regardless of religion, race, ethnicity or gender. Our staff of 25+ deals mainly with global relief, development and advocacy. We pursue this mission through integrated, holistic commitment, working closely with children, families, communities, local authorities. We make sure that each one of them are interviewed and committed from design to fulfilment in our development programmes. Empowered step by step during the ten to fifteen years of a programme, we empower them to set their own goals, settle autonomy and pass on skills and knowledge in a sustainable and community-based outlook. Vision du Monde runs 17 development programmes in 12 countries across 4 continents. It benefits from the 70 years of experience of World Vision, first child sponsorship NGO and first Clean water humanitarian provider in the world, operating in 99 countries with offices in 85 of them. Our mission encompasses, in a global and sustainable development approach, 6 key sectors across clean water, sanitation and hygiene; food security; health; education; child protection and economic development to enable families transform relationships, build resilience and secure source of revenues. World Vision recently launched a new global strategy called Our Promise 2030, contributing to reach Sustainable Development Goals. Focusing energy and resources on increasingly fragile contexts and hard-to-reach areas, the organization strengthens his advocacy against violence, exploitation and human rights violations. Vision du Monde is dedicated more than ever to reach the most vulnerable children in the world, in difficult areas, relying on the expertise and cultural understanding of local teams, 97 % of them originating from the country. Alliances with other NGOs such as Red cross, Cares, Coordination sud or public organization such as EU or World food programme or International Labour Organization, make our action more efficient.

War Child Holland

We believe no child should be part of war. Ever. Children have the right to grow up in peace, free from fear and violence. To develop their full potential and become the person they want to be. War Child is committed to improve life of hundreds of thousands children in conflicted areas. War Child helps them to process their intense experiences, dare to reconnect with other children again and build self-confidence. They ensure that they learn how to read, write, count and learn a trade. Besides that, they create a safe environment where children can build a stable and above all, peaceful future. War Child does this worldwide. From Colombia to Afghanistan. Not because they like it that much. But because children are entitled to it. That is why they offer psychosocial support, education and protection to refugee and vulnerable children in fourteen countries. (Yaaj Mexico) is a civil society organization based in Mexico committed to promote, defend, and guarantee the sexual, reproductive, and human rights of the LGBTI+ community, all from a gender and youth approach. With almost 15 years of experience, Yaaj Mexico works along 4 main axles: Work with LGBTI+ populations through different programs: "Jovenes LGBT Mexico": A peer support group for LGBTIQ+ youth from 16 to 29. "Mujeres Diversas Yaaj": An intersectional feminist program that offers support and empowerment to LBT women and non-binary individuals aged 14 to 35, while taking action on gender issues and transphobia. "Salud Positiva": A program focused on guaranteeing access to healthcore without discrimination, focusing on HIV and other STIs. "Fortalecete LGBT": A nationwide fellowship program that trains new leaders through high-level meetings with legislators, international organizations, opinion leaders, among other similar profiles. It is a high-level residence for the exchange of good practices in the defense of human rights, in which participants develop their skills in leadership, research, communication and project management for democratic participation in favor of the LGBTIQ+ community (the program lasts 2 weeks and 6 young people from different parts of the country are selected). "Programa Nacional de Jovenes Lideres LGBTI+": A one-year program that, in addition to strengthening new activists (selected nationwide) through bimonthly workshops, intends to create a community among its participants, foster a professional network, influence activism in the local communities of the participants (with an average of 50 young LGBTIQ+ participants each year), and encourage the exchange of good practices among them, as well as promote community projects of those who make up the cohort. Research: We conduct relevant research that helps us promote public policies and have political and legislative influence; in addition to making visible the different realities within our community through data. On July 24, 2020, these cruel, inhuman, and degrading practices were prohibited by the Mexico City Congress. We are currently supporting a similar law initiative in the Mexican Senate. Awareness campaigns: Trainings (workshops, conferences, cultural exchanges, etc.) in high schools and universities, consulting and evaluation of LGBTIQ+ initiatives for companies, festivals and cultural activities, among other similar activities. We are present nationwide through different chapters ("vocerias") in the following federal states of Mexico: Baja California Sur, Zacatecas, Puebla, Chiapas, Jalisco, Yucatan, Campeche, among others. Yaaj has formed a network of more than 300 volunteers who have collaborated with the organization over the years. It has benefited thousands of users and their families.
