California Community Foundation

California Community Foundation's mission is to lead positive systemic change that strengthens Los Angeles communities. We envision a future where all Angelenos have the opportunity to contribute to the productivity, health and well-being of our region. We believe our common fate will be determined by how successfully we improve the quality of life for all residents. The impact we help create is of, by and for Los Angeles, because the community is our foundation. CCF is driven to find long-term, systemic solutions addressing the root causes of the most pressing issues facing Los Angeles County. Since 2000, more than $200 million has been given in discretionary grants, impacting hundreds of thousands of lives and helping to transform entire communities. Every one of those grants represented the legacy of a donor who was dedicated to creating a healthier, more prosperous and empowered L.A.

Steadfast LA Foundation

Steadfast LA is a civic nonprofit organization dedicated to accelerating the rebuilding Los Angeles after the devastating wildfires by bringing together top leaders, bold ideas, and effective solutions to get things done right and fast.

LA Strong Foundation

Not to be confused with LA Strong Sports Foundation, a separate organization! The LA Strong Foundation was created by Philanthropists, First Responders, and Venture Capitalists Maxi Kozler Koven and Drew Koven. Meaningful and Purpose Driven, we simplify the complexity and confusion of getting help and actionable information for those in crisis who need it immediately. We provide and coordinate essential supplies, services and support to the people and communities impacted by the 2025 LA Fires.

Altadena Girls

Altadena Girls creates safe, inspiring spaces where teen girls can explore who they are, express themselves, and build lasting community. Our mission is to support the well-being, creativity, and confidence of girls, especially those who have experienced trauma, social isolation, or economic hardship.

Better Angels Emergency Assistance Fund

In response to the catastrophic wildfires that decimated some of LA’s neighborhoods, Better Angels has launched a rapid-response Emergency Assistance Fund to support low-income families that have been impacted by the fires. The grants can be used for essentials, including food, clothing, and personal items. Applications will be reviewed, and funds will be distributed, daily.

Disaster Relief
CORE (Community Organized Relief Effort)

Founded by Sean Penn and Ann Lee, CORE (Community Organized Relief Effort) was initially established as J/P HRO in response to the devastating 2010 earthquake in Haiti. Since then, CORE has scaled exponentially as a global humanitarian organization working to meet the growing needs of vulnerable communities worldwide. We’ve worked on five continents responding to natural disasters, conflict, food insecurity, disease outbreaks, climate change, and public health emergencies. Powered by local staff, CORE adapts our programs to the dynamic needs of communities as they evolve in and beyond crises. We’re a nimble organization that quickly adapts to communities’ needs as they evolve. Our efforts are fueled by local hands, and we partner with local leaders, organizations, governments, and other stakeholders to bring equitable relief directly to those who need it most.
