When you donate to the California Wildfire Animal Relief Fund, you are supporting work on the ground by trusted nonprofit organizations. Every donation will be split evenly between Humane Society of Ventura County and Panda Paws Rescue in support of animals who have been evacuated, displaced and are in need of sanctuary due to the wildfires in California. Your support is needed now more than ever, as communities struggle to survive from the devastation caused by these fires. All donations are tax-deductible and each organization has been vetted by the Pledgeling Foundation.

We help animals that are unowned and that need urgent medical attention. We also have a large feral dog program. These animals come to The Devoted Barn to heal both physically and emotionally. They learn to trust and love again, or for the first time, with the help of at risk youth and special needs adults who come to work at the barn. In addition to helping the animals, our mission to teach compassion & empathy to others through working with our animals.
Frankies Furry Friends Rescue is a small group of volunteers and fosters that foster the dogs in their own homes until they are adopted. Their main concern is giving a small breed dog either from a puppy mill or a local shelter a second chance at a life. They offer them a safe place until their forever homes are found. They receive proper food, they learn how to trust people. The foster gives them lots of love and attention, they are microchiped, and all vetting (including spay or neutering, vaccinations, heartworm testing, bordetella and heartworm preventative) they need until their forever homes are found. Assisting in the enforcement of cruelty laws. Their plan was to create a shelter for equines... a rescue that would provide care, rehabilitation and adoption services for abused, neglected, abandoned and unwanted horses. Pretty simple, they thought -- help a few horses out, they thought. They were not prepared for the floodgates that opened. They have taken in horses with physical scars so vicious that they can only guess what happened; others with emotional scars that won't allow them to trust again. But they have also helped many, many horses and ponies find homes with people who love them and have given them another chance at being useful riding horses or companions. They make sure that all animals are fully recovered before they are available for adoption.
A Scottie Rescue is one who has been previously owned and whose owner can no longer keep them. They are turned in for a variety of reasons and come to us from many sources. Whatever the circumstances, they are in need of a good home, care, and love, and might just be the perfect Scottie companion for you. We work hard to make the perfect and forever match for what each individual Scottie needs with one of our prescreened applicants. We hope you will trust us with a Scottie you may need to re-home, instead of bringing them to a shelter or giving them away to someone who may not have experience with the Scottie temperament. We hope you will consider coming to us if you can provide a loving home to a Scottie who needs a second chance.

Birds of a Feather RescueMission StatementBirds of a Feather Rescue was formed for the purpose of protecting and rehabilitating unwanted, mistreated, or abused exotic birds. People buy these birds for their beauty and don’t bother to take the time to learn about the birds. We have seen many come through here with different behavior problems due to the treatment they have received. FRFA is a registered charity dedicated to bettering the lives of the street cats and kittens that have no place to call home. We provide rescue, rehabilitation and re-homing for stray, feral, lost, abandoned and abused felines. All rescued cats and kittens are vetted, spayed/neutered, vaccinated and ID tattooed prior to adoption. The ill, injured and abused receive the necessary veterinary care to restore their health and the compassionate care needed to restore their trust in people. We are a No-Kill foundation that believes in prevention as the most humane and cost effective means of reducing critical cat overpopulation and the subsequent misery. FRFA provides spay/neuter assistance to low income cat owners (please see our Pay What You Can Spay/Neuter Fund). The majority of problems that plague the cat population are due to critical overpopulation. In a 7 year span the exponential growth resulting from of 1 breeding pair of cats will be an additional 450,000 kittens born.
Our goal for PASA is to be an invaluable resource for primate sanctuaries throughout Africa. Recognizing the intrinsic value that wildlife sanctuaries provide as a nexus of long term commitment to enforcement of wildlife laws, animal welfare and conservation of wild primates, we will advocate for our member sanctuaries on these and other relevant issues and provide a readily accessible international communication network for these members. PASA's programs will evolve with the threats that face African primates and the needs of our members; we will continuously seek creative solutions to provide our members with the best tools to promote long term success in the fight to protect and care for Africa's primates. We will accomplish this while maintaining PASA's Culture of Trust and Caring. We will follow PASA's Code of Values which includes transparency, collaboration, fairness, competence, humility and respect both internally with our member sanctuaries and in our relationships with supporters, governments, and non-governmental organizations. Every African primate sanctuary, regardless of size, will be able to obtain quality training and access to conservation services from a membership organization that puts its members' collective interests first and foremost.
