Greyhound Friends of North Carolina is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to providing adoption services for retired racing greyhounds, ensuring their health and welfare, educating the public about the availability and desirability of greyhounds as pets and placing them through adoption into loving homes.

ATR provides for the protection and education about all species of tortoise and turtle. We offer permanent sanctuary to abandoned tortoises. Foundlings that cannot be adopted because of ill health or because they are in danger of extinction remain in the care of American Tortoise Rescue for the remainder of their lives.

Center for Wildlife is a private, non-profit organization whose mission is to cultivate and strengthen relationships between humans, wildlife and the environment resulting in a healthier, more sustainable community. To this end, we focus on three goals: 1. Strengthen our community's overall health through the interdisciplinary approach of conservation medicine. 2. Expand community outreach and provide learning opportunities to educate and inspire people of all ages to value the connection between wildlife, human, and environmental health. 3. Achieve and advance a diverse and viable fundraising strategy, ensuring long-term financial sustainability to support the successful growth and continued demand for our work in the community.

Our mission is three-fold: (1) To rescue, treat, spay/neuter and place as house pets, rabbits that have been abused, neglected, injured, or abandoned; (2) To educate the public on rabbit health care and needs; and (3) To stop the irresponsible breeding and selling of rabbits.
