WORLD PARROT TRUST - Canada

The CWPT (Canadian World Parrot Trust) was founded in 1992 as a Canadian charity and operates in collaboration with other national branches of an international parrot conservation and welfare group collectively known as the WPT (World Parrot Trust). In over 20 years of combined efforts the WPT has led conservation and welfare projects in 30 countries for more than 50 species of parrots. As an independent partner, the CWPT engages in its own activities and, from time to time, partners with the WPT for projects to advance the objectives of the CWPT. The CWPT utilizes its relationship with the WPT to strengthen its presence in the parrot conservation and welfare communities and to obtain scientific advice from the WPT's Scientific Committee. A separate board of trustees, whom reside within Canada, governs the CWPT.

Visions Of The World

VISIONS OF THE WORLD was started with the mission to raise awareness, change perceptions, educate and support those who need representation. Our current mission are the animals that are losing their habitats and need protecting. While creating the series of fine art photography books LIFE Behind Bars, I realized the importance of the thankless work done by the wild animal sanctuaries and conservations groups to save species and how crucial it is for me to give back and support their efforts to protect and preserve endangered species and their habitats. A portion of the proceeds from book sales and associated merchandise will go to the wildlife conservation institutions that protect and preserve these precious animals. - Julian Starks

Ocean Foundation

The Ocean Foundation (TOF) is a unique community foundation with a mission to support, strengthen, and promote those organizations dedicated to reversing the trend of destruction of ocean environments around the world. Our slogan is "Tell Us What You Want To Do For The Ocean, We Will Take Care Of The Rest." We work with a community of donors who care about the coasts and oceans. In this manner, we grow the financial resources available to support marine conservation in order to promote healthy ocean ecosystems and benefit the human communities that depend on them. We operate using a well-established business model (the community foundation) to serve donors and partners interested in marine conservation. TOF does this by increasing the capacity of conservation organizations, hosting projects and funds, and supporting those working to improve the health of ocean species globally. To do this, we raise millions of dollars each year to support marine conservation. These funds come from individuals, corporate donors, private foundations, and governments. We meet our mission through five lines of business: Fiscal Sponsorship Fund services, Field of Interest grantmaking Funds, green Resort Partnerships, Committee and Donor Advised Funds, and Consulting services.
