To serve the people of central Ohio by providing temporary shelter, care, and pet adoption services for abandoned and otherwise homeless dogs and cats in central Ohio since 1975.

THE ORGANIZATION PROVIDES A SAFE SHELTER FOR ANIMALS UNTIL THEY CAN BE ADOPTED INTO A LIFELONG HOME. THE ORGANIZATION SUPPORTS LOCAL LAW ENFORCEMENT DEPARTMENTS IN ANIMAL ABUSE AND NEGLECT CASES, WORKS WITH ANIMAL RESCUE GROUPS AND EDUCATES THE PUBLIC ABOUT BASIC PET NEEDS, ANIMAL CARE AND SAFETY. THE ORGANIZATION EXISTS TO PROVIDE ANIMAL WELFARE ACTIVITIES AND SERVICES PRIMARILY IN DEKALB COUNTY, INDIANA. THESE ACTIVITIES AND SERVICES INCLUDE ANIMAL ACQUISITION, EVALUATION, VETERINARY CARE, FOSTERING AND HOUSING, REHAB AND TRAINING, AND ADOPTION INTO AN APPROPRIATE HOME OR SETTING. ADOPTION INCLUDES SCREENING OF POTENTIAL ADOPTERS AND FOLLOW-UP EVALUATIONS OF PLACEMENTS. THE ORGANIZATION SEEKS TO RAISE AWARENESS OF, AND RESPOND TO, ANIMAL NEGLECT AND ABUSE SITUATIONS, AS WELL AS EDUCATE THE PUBLIC REGARDING RESPONSIBLE ANIMAL OWNERSHIP AND ANIMAL WELFARE ISSUES.

Their main goal is to find homes for stray or surrendered animals, no matter how long it takes. It is the only public, non-profit, no-kill animal rescue shelter in the local area, not breed specific, for both cats and dogs.

Our mission is to promote the well-being of animals through SAVE: Spay/Neuter, Adopt, Volunteer and Educate. We provide housing and care to homeless and unwanted pets, and have welcomed thousands of animals since 1975. We strive to find good, loving, permanent homes for all of them.

Find homes to adopt more than 200 cats per year and rehabilitation of stray and feral cats
