Foundation for National Parks & Wildlife

The Foundation for National Parks & Wildlife has a simple mission - to create parks and save species. In creating parks, we work with State and Federal governments to identify potential land purchases, and then assist with funds to acquire that land. We don't hold any land - we pass it straight over to the Government to add to the National Park portfolio and it is then managed by the state rangers. In saving species, we work extensively with volunteers, scientists, governments, local communities and other organisations to deliver community-based conservation projects and research nation-wide, including developing corridors for native animals, connecting disparate groups of species to allow them to survive and thrive. Partnership is at the very heart of our philosophy and is central to everything we do.

The Live Like Roo Foundation

Live Like Roo Foundation, a 501C3 organization, provides support and financial assistance to families whose pet faces a cancer diagnosis. We help pay bills for biopsies, amputations, medications, growth removals and much more. After the dog passes, we also pay for the ashes or paw print of the animal. We assemble "Roo Cancer Care Packages," which contain items that Roo loved during his diagnosis, as well as items that will help the owner through one of the most difficult times of their life. Such items include a handmade blanket, toys, treats, a McDonald's gift card, toys, tennis balls, and tissues for mom and dad. We are a nationwide organization that hopes that everyone, ill or not, continues to live like there is no tomorrow. Live Like Roo.

FRFA is a registered charity dedicated to bettering the lives of the street cats and kittens that have no place to call home. We provide rescue, rehabilitation and re-homing for stray, feral, lost, abandoned and abused felines. FRFA provides spay/neuter assistance to low income cat owners (please see our Pay What You Can Spay/Neuter Fund). The majority of problems that plague the cat population are due to critical overpopulation. In a 7 year span the exponential growth resulting from of 1 breeding pair of cats will be an additional 450,000 kittens born.

Lowry Park Zoo Endowment Foundation

Rescue, rehabilitate and care for animals; create exceptional personalized experiences that connect people with wildlife and each other in fun, immersive ways. Five-time winner of the TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence (2010-2015), ZooTampa at Lowry Park is one of the most popular zoos in the southeastern U.S., with over 1 million visitors annually. The Zoo originated in the 1930’s as a municipal department with a small number of Florida native species. It grew gradually throughout the next four decades, but struggled to meet the developing professional standards of modern zoos. In 1982, community leaders created the Lowry Park Zoo Association to take over management of the Zoo for the City of Tampa with the goal of creating a world-class zoo through a public-private partnership. The Association then became the Lowry Park Zoological Society of Tampa, Inc., as it remains today. Working with a national zoo designer, the Society was able to create a modern, 24-acre facility that opened to the public in 1988 and shortly after earned Accreditation by the Association of Zoos and Aquariums (AZA). ZooTampa has now grown to what now encompasses 56 acres of naturalistic animal exhibits in a lush, tropical garden setting. The Zoo offers popular educational programming, fun recreational amenities, up-close animal encounters and engaging seasonal events for which it has won accolades as one of the country’s most family-friendly zoos.
