Mission: Northern California Sled Dog Rescue (Norsled) is an all volunteer, non-profit group dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating and finding new homes for unwanted, abused and abandoned Siberian Huskies, Alaskan Malamutes, Samoyeds, American Eskimo and Northern Breed mixes. We serve many Northern California counties including: Alameda, Butte, Contra Costa, Glenn, Humboldt, Lake, Marin, Mendocino, Napa, Sacramento, Solano, Sonoma, Sutter, Yolo, And Yuba.Programs: Special needs dogs

The TADSAW (Train A Dog - Save A Warrior) mission is to provide for the training of a Medical Alert Service Dog, as designated by the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) guidelines, for Any wounded Veteran Service Member (Active Duty, Retired, Discharged), surviving with Military Induced Anxiety Depression Syndrome (MIADS), Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), Military Sexual Trauma (MST) and/or Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI), in order to restore and improve the Veteran's Quality of Life with a canine 'Battle Buddy', at no charge to the Veteran or their family.

PittieLove Rescue Inc. is a 501(c) (3) non profit organization based in Massachusetts. We are an all-volunteer, foster-home-based rescue dedicated to the care, understanding, and adoption of the American Pit Bull Terrier. PittieLove’s primary goal is to ensure that our rescued dogs will never again suffer from abuse or neglect. We work diligently to carefully place them into loving homes where, for all of their remaining years, they will experience the affection and kindness that has been so sorely absent from their lives.

To provide a wild animal rescue facility for injured and orphaned native wildlife.To provide a location for young children and students to study nature in an outdoor classroom setting using STEAM skills and activities in order to advance scientific interests and education.To aid students with learning disabilities and ASD to overcome isolation and social exclusion through animal handling activities, and to regain a sense of community using nature and art.To improve reading readiness skills and overcome dyslexia in children from low income families using animals in CENTER based reading programs to build self-confidence.To provide a location for people with PTSD to improve mental and physical health using the principles of eco-therapy, raptor handling, and holistic biofeedback.

Primarily Primates, Incorporated, founded in 1978, is a non-profit sanctuary in San Antonio, Texas that operates to house, protect, and rehabilitate various non-native animals. The 78-acre private refuge currently houses more than 350 nonhuman animals, and, as the name implies, focuses primarily on caring for apes and monkeys. Many are cast-offs from the entertainment industry, pet trade, and biomedical research institutions. Individuals who have been accepted into the refuge include chimpanzees once used in movies and in space training and testing protocols by the United States Air Force. At Primarily Primates the goal is to assure each animal's life is filled with a comfortable, secure, and stimulating environment.

The Wildlife Rehabilitation Society of Edmonton (WRSE) is committed to proper environmental stewardship and recognizes the important role we play in conserving Alberta’s native species through services and programs we provide to the community. WRSE is a non-profit, charitable organization that provides compassionate care for injured and orphaned wildlife in Edmonton and surrounding areas. Since 1989, we have helped more than 11,000 birds and mammals receive proper medical treatment with the ultimate goal of returning these animals to their natural habitat. In addition to providing our patients with top quality care, WRSE recognizes the impact of human encroachment on the city’s natural ecosystem; therefore, we provide the Edmonton community with education relating to human-wildlife interaction.

WWS is dedicated to preserving and promoting a harmonious coexistance between humans, wildlife and nature. WWS maintains a year-round wildlife rehabilitation facility where all injured and orphaned animals are accepted, rehabilitated and appropriately released back into their natural habitats. Wildlife that is deemed non releaseable may find sanctuary at WWS, and be considered for the WWS Educational Program, that is conducted for local schools, organizations and interest groups. Wildlife rehabilitation is a full-time labour of love that is not funded by the government or any of its agencies. Our on-going endeavours to promote awareness and responsibility for our native wildlife and to rehabilitate the orphaned and injured, are supported solely by public, private and corporate donations. The Foundation for National Parks & Wildlife has a simple mission - to create parks and save species. In creating parks, we work with State and Federal governments to identify potential land purchases, and then assist with funds to acquire that land. We don't hold any land - we pass it straight over to the Government to add to the National Park portfolio and it is then managed by the state rangers. In saving species, we work extensively with volunteers, scientists, governments, local communities and other organisations to deliver community-based conservation projects and research nation-wide, including developing corridors for native animals, connecting disparate groups of species to allow them to survive and thrive. Partnership is at the very heart of our philosophy and is central to everything we do.

Wildlife Rescue League is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization based in Northern Virginia whose mission is to support the rehabilitation and release of sick, injured, and orphaned wildlife and, through education, to foster the appreciation of our wild neighbors. WRL operates a wildlife helpline in Northern Virginia and surrounding areas and provides advice and referrals to permitted wildlife rehabilitators to get animals the help they need for a second chance at life. WRL also educates the public about native wildlife and peaceful coexistence; thereby minimizing the need for rehabilitation efforts. Our Mission is 1. To undertake and support research and long term monitoring of wildlife populations of the marine and terrestrial ecosystems of Haida Gwaii, especially the Laskeek Bay Area. 2. To provide opportunities for non-scientists, especially students and local residents of Haida Gwaii, to participate as volunteers in our field programs, and to offer training to impart necessary field research skills. 3. To promote better understanding of the marine and terrestrial ecosystems of Haida Gwaii, especially the Laskeek Bay area, by providing information to youth, local residents, and to the public in general in the form of publications, meetings and exhibits. 4. To promote the conservation of native species and to develop public awareness of the changes caused by introduced species to Haida Gwaii. 5. To support and assist other programs aimed at providing better knowledge, management, and conservation of ecosystems on Haida Gwaii.

The Coves is a series of 3 ponds that offer a natural refuge in the heart of London, Ontario. In 1998, two friends hiking in the Coves lamented that the ecosystem was progressively degrading. The friends wasted little time in talk and soon turned their lamentations into action. By 2000, they enlisted the support of 6 volunteer board members and established an incorporated, non-profit registered charity called the Friends of the Coves Subwatershed Inc. The Friends of the Coves immediately secured funding to create the Coves Subwatershed Plan. With extensive community consultation they identified common goals and secured widespread support for implementation of the plan. The Friends have installed a native plant butterfly garden, have naturalization projects on a former landfill site and shoreline areas, develop educational programs to promote ecologically friendly practices, and established a water quality monitoring program

Erie Wildlife Rescue (EWR) is a volunteer-based registered charity, incorporated in 1979. For over 30 years EWR has been providing rehabilitation services to all species of wildlife native to southwestern Ontario. EWR members are dedicated to the treatment and temporary care of injured or orphaned indigenous wildlife, and the subsequent release of healthy animals into appropriate habitats in the wild. We educate the public, promote the value of wildlife and the environment, and encourage positive interactions between people and wildlife. We serve not just the needs of wildlife, but also the needs of the public who ask for our assistance. EWR volunteers answer thousands of inquiries each year. The concerns expressed by these callers may be for the wildlife itself, for personal safety, or for the safety of property. Over 500 birds, mammals and reptiles received treatment from EWR in 2012.
