The Center for Whale Research conducts long‑term scientific monitoring of Southern Resident killer whales — including annual censuses and health assessments — to inform conservation policy and ecosystem recovery. It also runs public outreach and education programs (including an outreach center) to raise awareness and support for orca and habitat protection.

Invermere Companion Animal Network Society (ICAN) is a registered charity supporting companion animals in the Columbia Valley of British Columbia. ICAN was founded in May of 2007 and, since that time, has assisted with over 900 companion animals. ICAN operates a small rescue and housing facility with a no-kill, cage free philosophy and also maintains a network of foster homes. Our organization accepts surrenders of companion animals and provides assistance to guardians with spay/neuter and other medical costs. All animals that come into ICAN’s care are vet checked, spayed or neutered, vaccinated, and any health issues are appropriately treated. ICAN also advocates and educates the Columbia Valley on companion animal health and overpopulation issues. Supporting ICAN keeps your contribution in our communities and provides care and support to companion animals and their guardians.

Dogpac's mission is to promote the health and enjoyment of dogs and their guardians through the provision of off-leash recreation opportunities in Central Oregon. We hope this site, our advocacy, and our on-the-ground work enhance your enjoyment of outdoor experiences with your dog. It is important for you and others that your dog behaves responsibly when off-leash.

The Lillian Allbon Animal Shelter is an independent organization that takes in and finds homes for abused, abandoned and unwanted dogs and cats. We are a no-kill shelter, which means that once an animal comes into our care, we will keep it until we find it a good home. We only euthanize animals that have serious behaviour or health issues.
