Roice Hurst Humane Society

Roice-Hurst Humane Society works to promote and preserve the bond between pets and people in western Colorado by sheltering and rehoming dogs and cats and offering community support services (pet pantry, low-cost clinics, spay/neuter help, behavior support, crisis boarding, and programs to keep pets with their families). Their focus is both placing animals in loving homes and preventing unnecessary surrenders through social-support programs.

Humane Society Of Central Texas

The Humane Society of Central Texas provides adoption, rescue and foster opportunities for the homeless animals at the Waco Animal Shelter in Waco, Texas. We are the only regional, open-admission animal shelter in the area. Thanks to our community and supporters, even with an annual intake of 6,000 animals, we have attained No Kill Status, meaning that at least 90% of animals that come into the shelter leave here alive for wonderful new homes!

We work closely with local municipal animal control departments in providing shelter to abandoned, abused, and surrendered animals, and finding homes for as many adoptable pets as we possibly can. We stress spaying and neutering as the one key way to prevent unwanted puppies and kittens. Overpopulation will only be eased through effective spay and neuter practices.
