“The Colony Animal Services strives to protect The City of The Colony’s lost, homeless, abused, injured, and sick pets. We seek to provide animals the opportunity to be reclaimed, adopted, rehabilitated, or rescued. It is the mission for the Animal Service Officers and volunteers to pursue a positive synergy and to serve the citizens and pets of The Colony. Animal Services is committed to saving each and every animal that comes into our care. Over the last few years, we have improved our live release rate to 97%. We hold our standards high at keeping this percentage, and in doing so, we ask our rescue partners and citizens to help us pursue finding our animals forever homes.” When donating, you are supporting our medical and shelter funds. A Scottie Rescue is one who has been previously owned and whose owner can no longer keep them. They are turned in for a variety of reasons and come to us from many sources. Whatever the circumstances, they are in need of a good home, care, and love, and might just be the perfect Scottie companion for you. We work hard to make the perfect and forever match for what each individual Scottie needs with one of our prescreened applicants. We hope you will trust us with a Scottie you may need to re-home, instead of bringing them to a shelter or giving them away to someone who may not have experience with the Scottie temperament. We hope you will consider coming to us if you can provide a loving home to a Scottie who needs a second chance.
